Islands Women’s Club Community Cookbook

CALLING ALL ISLANDS RESIDENTS! 

BE A PART OF THE CREATION OF THE ISLANDS COMMUNITY COOKBOOK BY AND FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF OUR COMMUNITY!

We are excited to announce this major fundraiser to benefit our charities.

> SUBMIT your unique recipes and favorite photos of The Islands for consideration for the cookbook by October 23.

> PURCHASE ADVERTISING SPACE by October 13. Remember that your ad will part of The Islands legacy for decades – it will not end up in the recycle bin!

> PRE-ORDER COOKBOOKS BY NOVEMBER 1 to have them for holiday gift-giving!

> BOOKS WILL BE DELIVERED ABOUT DECEMBER 15.

We look forward to raising funds for The Clothes Cabin, established by a small group of friends including Islands resident, Caryn Shoemaker, and our own Islands Women’s Club Scholarship Fund.

Forms for submitting recipes, purchasing ads, and purchasing cookbooks are available on the Islands Women’s Club page on The Islands Website, at the clubhouse, at community events, from IWC members, and from Pat and Marie.

DATES TO REMEMBER

Recipe collection and Ad sales: September 1 – October 23.
Pre-order Book Sales for Holiday delivery: September 1 – November 1
Books available: December 15 in time for Holiday gift giving
Book pickup will be at the Islands Clubhouse on Dec 17, 18, and 19 from 4-6pm.

  • Download the Recipe Submittal Form for more information
  • Go to www.typensave.com and click ‘Login.’
  • Enter the User Name IWCGilbert
  • Enter the password broccoli286 and click ‘Submit.’
  • Enter your name and click ‘Continue’
  • Click ‘Add Recipes’ to begin adding your recipes.
  • Include your email and phone number so we can contact you with any questions. They are needed for the committee’s use but will not be included in the final cookbook.

ADVERTISING IN THE COOKBOOK

We are offering ads to help subsidize the cost of these cookbooks and generate more proceeds for our charities.

Islands residents are always looking for local businesses – make sure yours will be represented in this cookbook as a constant reminder!

Advertising is simple and inexpensive… Ads can be a graphic or just your business card and just cost $50 per 1/3 page. You may include a coupon in your ad. Purchase 10+ cookbooks at the time of placing your ad – and pay only $15 per book!

ORDER COOKBOOKS

We anticipate a great demand for our cookbooks, and we want to be certain to order plenty. Pre-order one or more for yourself and your family by November 1 to be assured of receiving them in time for the holidays.

Cookbooks are $20 each or $18 each if you purchase 10 or more.
